Quitting smoking has many advantages. You are able to taste and smell your food better after you quit smoking. Also your breath gets better. You begin to look a lot younger. Likewise, giving up smoking protects you from many diseases like cancer, macular degeneration, cataract and osteoporosis.

The first step in giving up smoking is setting a date. Preferably team up with another person also interested in quitting smoking. Start noticing the things you typically do when you smoke and change the habits accordingly. Smoking routines and associated behavior should also be kept in control. Keep your cigarettes scattered all over to make it harder for you to find them. Try smoking by holding the cigarette in the other hand or swap to a make of cigarettes which is not of your preference.
